Glad that you are seeing the upside.

I am sure you have heard the saying:
When life gives you venison, make some chili! :?

Sorry about the car and the deer.

That is a bummer, but it does add another interesting twist to the tale. I am sure that in the movie it will be much more dramatic...

Yeah, in the movie the deer will probably leap through the windshield with a knife in its teeth and I'll have to fight it off with nothing but my bare hands and an old fanbelt, all while careening toward a cliff at 100mph...

My standard line is that I had to fight off a grizzly bear with nothing but a spiral notebook. I don't see why that wouldn't work in a Roadster!

Hopefully there will be less drama when you come to LA for the Winter Fun Run on Sun 2/23.At least Paul will get the car's "good side"
for the run photo.

I remember when I was doing a x-country trip and merrily barreling along on side roads at night with no care. Then I saw Walt's pix after he collided with an Elk (I think) Slowed me down considerably.
Hit and killed a deer in Montana on my 350 Honda and another on Topanga Canyon in my roadster. Dangerous critters indeed.

While wearing a PETA shirt..

It's OK, the deer was armed, it's self defense. Just yell "He's coming right for me"

Remember that Reblues took out an elk with his Roadster several years ago...

That knife-whelding deer and the fanbelt image was priceless... still laughing! Somebody with artistic ability needs to draw that!

I remember the Bradstock brothers (crazy Canadian SOBs) having a full length 2x4 lost from a construction truck bounce off their hood and over the car on the way to Shasta 20 some years ago...

Glad you could join us Scott, it was great to meet you. And having seen the deer imprint up close, I can say it was quite impressive.
Luckily no deer or bunnies today just a few pesky bicyclists

So after 268 days on the road and 37,850 miles, I'm home. Thanks everybody for all the support and encouragement throughout the trip; it was really great to have a cheering section along the way.

Time to start planning the next one... :)

Needless to say Scott, many of us thank you for a great story - you got to do what many of us would love to do. Thanks for taking the huge amount of time and effort to share it with us!
