Thanks, Greg. It did have the correct Cragar style lug nuts, so things were safe. I went ahead and picked up a set of 15” Panasports from Dean at Datsunparts.com and mounted 195/55 Yokohamas. I think they look a lot better and the fronts are nicely tucked under the fender lip.

Hi gang. I'm going to be replacing the webbing on the seat bottoms of my '70 ride. I replaced the covers a few years back and they're in fine shape. The foam is good as well. I know where to get the Pirelli webbing as some have recommended:

Anyone know how many feet of webbing I'll need for the two seats?

Thanks in advance!

Other threads in regards to seats I have seen 12ft and 14ft per seat mentioned, but this was from members "recollection" after the fact. Not all recommend Pirelli, I don't recall if it was from a performance standpoint, cost or both.
One member was pleased with this product, and I know similar products have been recommended by others and the price is right.

Has anyone ever done a cold air intake routed through the front scoop?…or is that a dumb idea since scoop air flow goes to the rad?
Friend of mine has a Mercedes he said had that type of air intake

Not through the hood intake but through a tube that passed by a slightly adjusted/moved/modified radiator. Used to go to a pancake filter (made a box) and then into a fabricated cold air box that fit over the carbs. I later abandoned that experiment as I'd heard that a "ram air" type system is actually not a good idea... a better idea was a cold but unpressured airfeed to the intake. I still have the tube that directs filtered cold air to the intake (in my case EFI with ITBs) but does not connect to anything. Colder air is important for my motor given its high compression. Worth the effort? Hard to tell but it was already in place and the engine (like any engine) definitely likes cold air.
BTW, the hood scoop is there to cool the rad, and it's needed for that job. Same with the lower scoop.

Thanks, Greg. I was pretty sure the hood scoop is important for cooling… I remember reading somewhere the roadster is a rarity with an actual functional hood scoop.
One day I’ll get cold air in … but for now the list has other priorities

Does anyone know about this plug under the console? I don't see a replacement/reproductions with any vendors and my vehicle didn't have one.
Any options for alternatives?

Under the sub-heading of Brakes....converting to Volvo calipers from stock. Does anybody know if there are clearance issues that need to be handled when using 14 inch wheels?
I'm selling a conversion kit (Volvo calipers, Altima rotors, hardware kit) and that was a question I was asked. I checked here on the Techwiki under Brakes but didn't find anything.
Thanks

Which 5 speed transmissions from Nissan will bolt up to my '70 R16 engine? Current 4 speed works fine; considering moving up to a 5 speed if/when I stroke the engine.
TIA

I had my '67 1600 out for a quick spin the other day, when it suddenly wouldn't accelerate. It ran fine for the first 15 minutes or so, but then would severely bog when I hit the accelerator. It would idle fine, though. Long story short - after I opened the float bowls and then put them back together, it worked fine again. Any idea what got "fixed" then or was that just coincidence?
{I'm trying to keep this "Quick/Small/Stupid", but here are some other details, fyi.
Fuel filter/bowl are clean. Tank was cleaned/sealed a few years ago. Plugs looked fine. Timing is correct.}
