roysuecan, I suggest that before nailing it down test fit your lower dash on it. I found that with the padding that the lower dash was tighter than I wanted.
Yes, I'm finding it necessary to do some trimming on the transmission tunnel piece. I took the padding out from under the lower console and trimmed around the shifter hole and emergency brake bracket. I haven't checked the air box fit yet. The floor board carpets fit well with no trimming needed. The biggest issue for me is that the transmission tunnel piece doesn't cover completely in the front lower corners. I'll add some pics when I get done with the installation.

Just finished installing 7 piece carpet kit from Sin City Datsuns. After reading other issues on here, I am pleased with fit and price. Is it perfect? No, but other than cutting for shifter and ash tray/lighter and making left foot rest hole a little bigger, went in as planned. The tunnel piece was slightly longer on sides so that made up for any shortness on the floor pieces. I thought about the one piece, but wanted to be able to remove floor pieces if/when they get wet, so I also installed snaps. Kind of a PIA because you need to remove the glued on jute backing for the snaps to work. Also for the console screw holes and seat bolt holes, I used a 1/2" gasket hole punch for a nice clean hole!

Figured no need to start a new thread. My 5 piece Carpet kit just arrived. Bought it from an eBay Vender out of Baine WA. Zero doubt I'm a 12-18 months out from needing it but I figure things aren't getting cheaper (sure enough the price went up $9 from when I ordered it less than 10 days ago) so I jumped on it. No surprise the Kit was dropped shipped from ACC out of Alabama. For a tick under $200 delivered I'm pleased with what I received. This isn't going to be a show car. Anyone know what the two round plastic disks are for in the Instruction sheet photo? Cleaner look for seat belt bracket pass through? <p>

The discs look like the spacer that goes between the window crank handle and the door card.. My original Datsun SPL had something like that back in it 1973.... I may be wrong, but that's what it appears to be ....

ACC Carpets doesn't sell anything other any carpets, floor mats and sound deadening material. These disks are about 3" diameter. Now I'm thinking they are end caps from rolls of material they use in manufacturing carpet???

The dimmer switch on most American Made cars are floor mounted. The 1500 also uses a floor mounted dimmer switch. I have one of those disks on the counter. It fits a dimmer perfectly.

OK, totally didn't follow you on dimmer (headlight). Yes I now remember my fathers old 1966 Chrysler had the food mounted switch. Well I have two of them. Hell I don't even know how high beams work on a 67, haven't even sat in the car for 40 years. Is it a second position on the Headlight toggle switch, turn signal stalk??

Yes, on the 2 seat roadsters, the dimmer is the stalk being moved forwards and backwards.

Dimmer switch grommet !! DAMN!! Do I have to give back the two cents ...
( That makes sense now that you mention it !!)
My dimmer are on the stalk, so no need for the grommet.
Cheers, You all have a great weekend wrenchin'
