Oh man Alvin! looking at the FB group post on Eric's car, and that rear suspension has my brain going again! I still have not seen any pictures of how Eric mounted the track bar at the front U-joint.

Usually Matt Farah has decent sound. On this one, he did not do the car any justice.. Hearing this car coming up the hill at night is haunting, and then he gets on it, and the sheik of the engine and the whine of the supercharger is just electric..

To the lonesome hate on this. I am fairly certain that I can put the power to the ground, and keep control of it. Not with the stock suspension setup though. Rear needs some work with setting up the proper geometry to keep it planted, and the front needs some help to get a little more kpi.

I will soon be modeling the full stock suspension, and see what might and might not work.

I have already been working on a reverse mount underslung Tilton pedal box to run dual a MC setup.

Tons of plans, but we will see what reality becomes of my dreams.

What state are you in ? Another member pointed out cal. Doesnt allow trans swaps ( othrr than original )
Might want to run it by a internet attorney. 35 $
As if it goes bad its has little to do with you any more
I have had some brought to me over the years that were scary in the mods

There are no state safety inspections (for passenger vehicles) for the most part here in California. The most that would need to be done would be a brake and lamp check for re-title, and that is not too hard to pass.

Anything pre 1976 does not require emissions testing... if I did have to do emissions testing, that would be a different story. I would have to have donor motor period correct catalityc converters, evap system, and OBDII. Also only forward generations swaps are allowed... and other dumb stuff.

I will add that my build will be significantly safer than that of such period V8 roadsters such as the Sunbeam Tiger.

Ahh yes, it is very important to make sure your air compressor is functioning, that your air chambers on the drums are not cracked, that your kingpin is not bent, and that your 5th wheel is functional with the locking jaws operating correctly..

And to do it every time you start the roadster, and make sure the results of the walk around are entered in the log book..

No , its just a passenger car , just once inspect and or test many critical items and Systems a year by a unbiased quailified , expert ....especially on over 30 yr cars
Also for emmissions tampering ! like a turbo install

Just for fun, calculated and plotted airflow for a single bank of the 1UZFE VVTi at different boost levels. Used this to find a compressor map. Overlaid compressor map and airflow chart. Everything looks good to make a nice 440Hp @ 16Psi while delivering a very smooth and liner torque curve. There is also plenty of room to crank the Psi up, and still be within the 75% + efficiency islands.Image

300 would be stupid. 440 would be awesome fun! Can't wait to see what you decide.

+ 1

PS Never drive more than 11 cumulative hours per day, or have trips longer then 14 hours per day
