It was a really great show.

Hat's off to the "Katy" team which put together this show...It was a great mix of lots off Marques, clubs, young & old! Super thanks to Victor who is always the coolest Kat helping/watching out for his Roadster breathren!

There were quite a few roadsters there...Including six 67.5 2000s. Mike Young brought his White/Red Interior 67 2K, Tim Miner Brought his two 67 2ks (silver, red) , Andrew brought his 67 2K (Black), Ron Carter brought his 67 2K racer (red), and I drove my 67 2K (silver).

The San Diego crowd also made a nice showing...Ken in his silver 66, Roger with his metallic blue/greenish 65 SPL310, Paul G. with his sweet silver 2000, and Edgar with his 1960 4 Seater roadster.

From the La/OC crowd...Ron in his quick off the line 1600, Victor in his great 2000, Liz with a nice burgundy high windshield 1600, Gary Wasserman in his incredible blue/purple 2000, Howard joined as well (was your car there Howard?), as well as a very nice red 2000 with a custom grill (sorry...I didn't catch the owner of this car)..Also there was a very nice white high windshield car (I think a 2000), but I didn't meet the owner....

Also, the green low windshield car which won best of show at Solvang two years ago was there as well. His car won best paint out of over 200 entries. Edgar also took home several awards for the oldest car, as well as the most original!

And as mentioned...a new roadster owner ( Wilson) in a canary yellow, high windshield also attended (but didn't show his car). He parked in the restaurant parking lot next door...Sadly the restaurant threaten to start towing cars...He went back to his car..but it wouldn't kick-over. He was having carb problems.

I took a look in his engine bay...I think he was running an r engine (might have been an h) with an r valve cover, but an H20 intake manifold with a single downdraft carb. It was a nissan carb!

Again, a great show....

Thanks,

Dan

I thought Andrew sold his car. Did it fall through?

In regards to Andrew (not sure he is on this board)...A bit of Roadster Karma & Kicking the roadster habit is a tough one to give up :)

Here is a cool shot from Ted Hedman (from early in the morning when the temps were cool) of the roadsters with the HUGE Queen Mary in the background.

Nice to meet you Dan and your nice 2000 and thanks to all the NorCal guys and San Diego group for driving all the way in.

Howard's car was the Red 69 2000 without the custom grill. Tom had the custom grill, and the white 2000 belongs to Scott.

What a great turnout and beautiful cars to match a beautiful day.

Alvin, I dont have recent pics of my car because I no longer have the car with me(until oct 21st) and I dont have a digital camera. I beleive I did mention it to a member here Spriso? My uncle owns 3 shops in CA that imports engines directly from Japan. Sorry that I did not mention it before.. So if your interested in a SR Let me know and I will see if I she has any in stock.
