If that's your coolant, a good flush is in order. Pat

^ defiantly. the PO of my '68 just ran strait water which built up enough rust to look like that.

My coolant is still looking pretty decent and I couldn't be happier about it. My "old" '91 Accord has coolant that looks like that every time I flush it, and randomly overheats at the strangest times. So.. that's a good guess as well. I'll tell you the terrible answer after one more guess :) If you're stuck, the reflection might help

Oh, yeah- Pat, are you going to Hot August Nights? I was hoping to get running in time, but this bowl of "tomato soup" is the latest reason I probably won't be down in the Roadster. Would love to take my wife down though and if your Roadster is there, all the better.

Does it smell of old gas??

I'll text or email you my plans for Hot August Nights.

Ding Ding Ding. THIS is what happens when you add 6 gallons of fresh gas to an old empty tank and hope for the best. It runs fine in the garage for a while... then you go through about 10 filters after driving 30 miles and shaking it up. Guess I'll be dropping the tank next and giving it the POR-15 treatment. I've done this on my bike with no issues. Anyone have trouble on their roadster?

Great read and car. I am in the same boat as you. Mine is a 69 SRL . Red, 20+ years in a barn in Northwestern Oregon. Thankfully most of the mechanicals were replaced on mine lust before its internment. Still a long process to wake them up after a prolonged sleep. Have fun with it and stay warm.....
