Since I’m installing the rear brakes I’ve noticed that once’s assembled the wheel cyl bleeder is pointed downwards. Thought I had the backing plate in the wrong side but swapping them over didn’t work with the holes on the banjo housing.
Check with the parts manual and it shows the adjuster at the bottom. At this point I’d say that the housing ends have been assembled wrong but looks like everyone has the same issue.
How can there be a correct bleed to the rear wheel cyl in the down position ? There’s still got to be air trapped in the cylinder between the back of the piston and the brake line entrance point. I’ll assume at this point it’s minor and nobody has noticed ?

Yes, it is normal for the bleeder to point down. The air gets flushed out pretty easily since there isn't much in those little cylinders.
