Got the races removed today after getting some long punches from HarborFreight. I had to tap about 10 times each side, just firmly before they popped out. Remarkeably easy after all the anxiety about it. Such is life as an amateur :wink:

You are much more diligent about the cleaning than I was, Linda. I gave the areas where the races sit a quick wipe down and that was about it. :D

So, I had done the drivers side the other day and tackled the pass side tonight. To my chagrin, I found that the little clip that rests below the brake pads within the caliper bracket had stuck to a pad and started to slide into my rotor. I now have a nice (pretty deep) groove along the inner edge of the rotor that looks like a machine shop had stuck it on a lathe. Looks like I’ll be in the market for some new rotors. Boo hoo! 😩

On the races, do you install them with a little grease or dry?

I put a light coat on the outside before installing.

The second wheel bearing part arrived so got the races and bearings installed with seal using the Autozone loaner tool....
While waiting I cleaned up the hub some more with Rust Converter.
