With the floorboards, door mount and rockers needing rebuilding I became concerned with the car on a rotisserie that it would collapse, so I make a Mohawk for the car to hold it together. It was the only thing I could think of. I'm new to this body work thing and since I work at a gate shop I put it to good use. Looks funny but it works good.

Last couple days I've been drilling out spot welds - man there is a lot of them buggers. Getting the floor boards ready, now just have to drill out the rusty original ones - OH YEA, what joy!

Thanks, I like reading build threads that take you from A to B and not just before and after shots, hopefully I'm not just wasting band width with elementary stuff here.

After cutting out the passenger floor board I made some patch panels. Soooo glad I have the floor boards from Bob2, and did not have him cut them down I'm using just about everything I can. Watched a couple Youtube videos on body work and made some patch panels.

And the build continues........ Definitely wanting to get back to the engine swap as this fighting rust is getting old.

Where would one get replacement door stops, mine hare rusted through or missing. I've only found the rubber replacements but not the arm or holder.

Been thinking of how to rebuild the inner fender support mounts. Mine are so rotted as I don't know how the bottom went over the frame. Will have to piece together best as I can. Thinking of using stainless for this area especially because on the drivers side it is close to the exhaust.

I was just thinking this is a great opportunity to do a modded floor. I don't know how tall you are, I'm 6-2, but I read a post by sr311det (Eric Straw) who did a really cool floor tub..pan...thingy that allowed for the seats to be mount deeper.

Just a suggestion. It's something I'm gonna do and thought I might pass on a really cool idea!

Did a search and found the floorboard mod and yea it would be easy now that is for sure, have to visit the option when I go to mount my seats, would be nice to have more head room but gains are limited with the frame right under the floorboards.

I have rust in the exact same places as you....except much worse. Thanks for the inspiration!! I will definitely be following this build! Love the Busa engine by the way.
