Very clean install in that TR6.

Update to this would be....did the engine wiring and got some spark, fuel pulse and timing. I got he car to start for 1 second or so on starter fluid to test everything and seems to be good. Currently finishing up the fuel tank sump welding and I need to order the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator.

Also need to order gauges and etc....

Lots of work ahead but i am motivated.

Haven't updated in a while. Well there has been a lot that has been going on in my life. Needless to say my time is now cut in a fraction of what it was when i started this....

I started working on the fuel tank. The stock tank was sumped and i started to plumb everything. Running a inline walbro fp and -6 lines...in and out.

Had the car started for a second on starter fluid...seems like my wiring is correct lol

interesting question, since i have one of your supra steering wheels and love it!, do you think you could do up a stock early roadster wheel in leather?

Which wheel?

I installed the tank last night, had to remove two broken bolts and re-tap the existing hole. Either way its in there and i had to hold down the insulation with some tape for now. Might look for some 1" leaf spring spacers to raise up the rear just a bit.

I like the fact that you can hardly see it, especially when its dark.

Here's a closer shot. I know I know, everything will be cleaned and taken care of eventually.

Next up pump, filter and lines.

Did you revise the rear to mount to the frame rather than to the body?

The stock rear hook mount went into braces welded to the trunk floor. The weight of the tank will eventually cause the trunk floor to crack. A common mod is to drill two holes in the rear frame and to put the hooks there - more support for the weight of the tank without the floor cracking.

ahhhh okay, will keep that in mind or i can weld up some bracing but seems like the common mod is easiest.

If the tank is empty, it is easy to just unbolt it, drill two holes and put it back. Plus, while it is out, you can redo the straps to make them nice.
