another question...

I need to register the roadster and i need two VIN spots.

I have one on the frame (in the front) and the vin plate in the engine bay and door sill and dash board are missing. Are there any other spots? Maybe firewall?

'68 has frame stamp and plate on the engine bay "shelf".

IIRC, the dash plate was only on the '69s and '70s.

So I would get a new glovebox as well ;) ?

I want to borrow someone's glovebox....I'll be able to duplicate as I'm a box maker (work for a packaging company and use CAD to do package structure designs) ;)

I got mine from Dean @ DatsunParts.com. I still need to get my serial number engraved onto it. Not sure if anyone actually knows how to STAMP the number onto the new plate.

I was going to pick up that Blue roadster but I had picked up one just a day before I saw that same ad on craigslist. I recall the seller wanted $3000, how much did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking?

And is there any issues with the car? Rust? =)

Consider yourself lucky because If I had waited 1 more day, this blue one would have been sold to me. =)

I traded my rare 1987 Nissan Van and a little on top for the blue roadster.

Issues...I haven't ran into anything major. Break lights don't work when the headlights are on and missing vin tag so far.

Rust...minor surface rust here and there....other than that...all good.
I really haven't gotten to spend much time with it yet as the weather has kinda been sucking and by the time I get back from work, it's dark.

What did you end up getting? I guess I got lucky then, but you got one as well, so we're both lucky!

Ohhh. How I've been saying these same words ever since I got my roadster too. I bought my Roadster from mr. Roadsterwerx Michael, himself. I picked up Pinky.

yah...it sucks...and it's a little too cold to drive it. Oh well, weekends will be spent on getting it prepped for the spring (assuming the world doesn't come to an end). It will all be worth it!

So far all I had time for was to change the belt on it and drove it around on Saturday morning.

someone drove to work in the 40-degree temp range this morning. With the heater core deleted. Builds character.

Sorry. Buy a scarf. :P
