hey y'all- the red '69 is indeed mine. As Luke & Mike said, I've been reading the forum since my wife surprised me with the roadster on my 40th birthday a little over a year ago- after meeting them Saturday, I was inspired to join the forum and become more active. Jimmy's really is a great, varied car show, one of my faves of the season.

Hell, most of us are just envious of having a 40th birthday!

Welcome petrol!
It was really cool... I was just driving in and saw Luke's car, and parked next to him.. Went for a walk around the place, and when I came back, your car was there!
And Luke, let (was it Rob) your friend with the mopar know we can probably find him a Datsun in time for next year..lol

@Petrol - See that? Try to be a lurker and next thing you know everyone is talking about you and you gotta post something. Welcome to the club! Be sure to register your car Roadster Registry
@RCMike - yep, that's Rob. I'll try to get him in Datsun but so far he is a pretty confirmed MOPAR man.

Finally throwing up some photos as requested. They're not very good, just cell phone snaps. The blue z is my other weekend car- my daily driver is a 350z, so I suppose I'm a confirmed Datsun/Nissan nerd.

Great looking rides!
What's with the white one in the background, in picture 5??

The white roadster just happened to be parked there, so I took a snap with mine in the foreground. I believe it's a 1600 and being fixed up by the owner, because I've seen it since and it seems to be coming together.
I also found another photo from the Japanese Vintage Car Gathering in San Leandro back in July. Again, my z in the background.

You did well to line up the lines of the two cars in that last pic. Interesting study in iteself, habve tp realize theZ lines look shorter because it is farther away, but the angles don't change. Look sta the flank angle of the Z and the fender angle of the roadster, then that funny, tapered puddle on the ground suggests what the spoiler should look like on the roadster, if it started soon enough to not extend past the trunk line. Notice roadster headrest angle and Z B-pillar angle are parallel.
Wow,, just noticed, way OT from the subject line. Retreating back into the cave.
