ooh, japanese front plate, I like that.
Yeah it's over the top, and I'm sure I'll be putting the bumper back on sometime. I also wanted to weigh the bumper and brackets while it's off.
Is there a "weight savings" thread in the racing section?

haha nice!
I see a trend here...
The roadsters I posted are RHD, from Japan and truly JDM: they run ONE tow hook f/r beneath the bumper
The roadsters you posted(i think one is Leigh's?) are from here, not JDM: they run TWO tow hooks up front
If you run tow hooks that say "passwordJDM" then wouldn't you want to install them like the JDM does?
oh i forgot twice the JDM is super-mad-tyte-Honda-tech-sick-FATLace-cannibeat-illist!

You forgot hellaflush... hehe.
Not trying for JDM "tyteness", just the look I want. By the way, those bolted into an existing hole ( just a test fit), if I was going to keep one or both, I'd redrill so they sit a little closer to the car.

E-dizzy installed, coil, wires, timing set. Runs a lot smoother now. I think got some middle but lost some top end. Dunno, maybe I was babying it before.
The e-dizzy instructions are awesome, very easy install.

Drove to Menafee (120 miles each way!) to pick up a free roll bar from Bart. Very nice guy rocking TWO roadsters with motor swaps -- very impressed.
Roll bar needs underside plates to bolt in, seems pretty secure if I mount it that way. I'll probably make some.
needs work, but... it was free! Anyone know the company that made it? (see pic of sticker) I'd love a little history.

You are taxing my memory.....Back in the day (1970's) I used to sell them...I think it's Hobret ,but not sure...They are almost on par with AutoPower, but we sold VW stuff....as AutoPower was just down the street (so to say) and we could pick those up as needed.

Cool!
Wish the sticker were in better shape, I'd work around it.
Your spelling helped, I'm thinking it was Hobrecht (at least they come up in searches)

Glad you are enjoying your roll bar, it's cool that it is finally getting used instead of collecting dust!!!!!

Thank you -- I got the package with the dizzy, coil and wires.
The new NGK wires are long, but Tom is going to make some adjustments so they are correct for the Roadster.

Judging by the art work, it could very well be "Stuff". Besides, who's gonna call you on it??
