I am willing to help organize the event with any others. Please let me know what I can do here, as I am likely closest to Kelowna (1 hour)
Here's another thought for those wine drinkers out there. Local wine tours (sorry, but I prefer to do the brew pubs but my wife doesn't drive a standard)

Anyone?

So far it looks like only about 4 people are interested. I have an update from Kelowna Tourism on accommodation options but not likely going to pull that trigger until I know that there are at least a dozen or so people interested in attending.

So...?

Not alot of people commit to Solvang early either. You could reserve some rooms and then cancel if necessary closer to the date depending on cancel policy.
Or reserve a group campsite to either keep or cancel as appropriate. Group sites in the states can usually hold a good number of people.

sorry for the thread jack, but is there a thread for 2012 Solvang?

BC is a little far, but oh what an adventure that would be!

Dave,

I intend to attend and participate but probably won't require accommodation.

I will be there too but plan to stay with family on the lake... There yard is a great place for car pics! Half way along Westside Road and room for a dozen roadsters on the lawn!

Hi Dave,
I'll be a game day decision. I won't need accomodations though.

Hope to see you in May!

Hi Dave.
Thanks for organizing this new event.
Close enough for us Seattle area folks. Only 315-350 miles depending on the route.
My Fairlady will need some exercising after a long winter layup for repairs.
I will be there if the weather is dry.
The motel block of rooms or group campsite sounds like fun. Up all night swapping roadster stories.
Ted.

Just so everyone knows, I'm still working on this. Don't forget about it. I am nearing completion of the plans and will have a web site up shortly (crosses fingers).

Dave.
Super job on organizing this new, and sure to be annual, Datsun Gathering.
I plan to be there.
A challenge to all you other WA. and OR. Roadster Folk.
Only 485 miles from Portland. 313 miles from Seattle.
If you can make it to Shasta, you can get to this event.
Come out and support this new Datsun Event. (with a Datsun, preferably a Roadster!)
Ted.
