Problem was that they did not incorporate the OG perch bolts, they just screwed into the frame!!!!!!American graffitti man!!

I don't think that is very dangerous! Wood has been used in frames for years!.
I used an aluminum block. to raise comp. springs.

Granted, but at least use pressure treated wood with a minimum of 3 sheetrock screws highway use.
Redwood or Cedar is acceptable for California, Cypress for Florida.

Cedar splits too easily!
I prefer Green Fir.
I think the smoke will keep the bugs away. LOL

I like that.
My neighbor had a problem with his garage door opener which I put a temporary fix using a rubber band from his daughter's retainer. I gave him clear instructions on what to do to make it permanent.
Wanna bet I'll be back there when the rubber band breaks?

yea...I just found it on the bottom of a crate of tail lights, etc that hadn't been touched in over 20 year. The lens is solid with no chips.
