hey you sleepyheads, my rear tail light bezels where upside down...

I like the red lenses because it is one complete color series. The lenses in the front will be clear so that will look like a nice set too.

Image

The rear new selfmade wiring is installed and everything works on the back. Did the throttle cable/linkage to see how tiny space there is for the heater tubes and heater valve (we didn't had an original one so we gonna use a Porsche 924 heater valve).
MAF and air tubes in place (needs some work though).

fuelpump and ignitionrelay (the wiring from Yuri) and the ECU in place
made the bolts so that they stay in the car so you can remove easily the components.
ECU is not ready yet we have to plug in a wire on pin nr.9 for the cooling fan

Alternator, starter and relay wiring in enginebay

Image

Image

The alternator (Subaru Vivio) didn't marked the plugs so that's why the picture has a paper with the Ignition and Lamp markings, the plug under the red cover is B+

Thanks to Pebbles for the tip of making a removeable plate for easy acces to the starter, I needed it!

I use headlights with integrated citylights, they are tested and they work (the yellow with green shrink thingy is later replaced for black)

Another day at "the office"

Image

Image

made bolts in the trunk which also stay in place for easy mounting of the rear licenseplate/holder
Also the U clip for the trunklock is exactly the same as from a 300ZX...I had to refurbish it because the reinforcement in the trunk was a bit in the way.

to continu the tradition (and no more gunshots in the butt)

refurbished a brakepedal from a 300ZX (Z31) automatic to a useable brakepedal in the roadster (for the brakebooster)
the pedal has a rubber for the brake switch, both are from a 300ZX. The switch is attached with a bracket to the steering column. It all seems to work. (gas and coupling pedal are original/standard). (The pedal is after these pictures again reshaped to bring it higher up at the same height as the other pedals),

Dashboard has a new aluminium pocket/closset (how you call "vakje"), yeah right; glove box.
Thanks to Jan, it is a bit longer so my owner's manual will fit straight in.
The bracket for the latch/lock is disappeared so we copied the sizes and made something new. (Found it back later).
the dash wiring is now completely done and should be all in place.

I am drawing all the fuse/relay/dash wiring etc.
could save a lot of work for someone else who wants to go down the same wiring route
I have a few good high resolution files of it so send a message if you want a copy.

Outstanding job. I see threads like yours and RC Mike's,and others, and I am both inspired and want to quit. :D

It's kind of the same phenomenon musicians go through when you see someone really great. You go why bother, and put the instrument down for a while till the shock wears off....but you pick it up again. :)

I guess what I am saying is I am duly impressed. Both with the quality of the work as well as the speed.

I love the lustre of your paint-job. It looks so deep and glossy. Fantastic!
