Early / Late model oil dipsticks
Came across an oil dipstick with a bunch of other roadster parts. I know it's not for the later model roadsters but don't have any early model roadsters to compare it to. Can someone post a picture of an early dipstick so I can see if it's a roadster part and worth saving? I'd attach a picture to this post if I knew how to do so.

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.
My '66 came with reupholstered door panels, but no escutcheons or window cranks, and handles that aren't attached. The attachment points on the door are just poking through small holes in the panel, how big should the holes in the panel be once I get the escutcheons?

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.
Can you post a picture? I'm a bit confused as to what you are describing - r it's just too early for my brain to work!
What escutheons? The window crank has a small round plastic piece that goes arond the mehanism mounted around the door, and the handle goes over this.
The attached image is from the online parts catalog. Do you mean #91 and #87?

It would be 91 and 92, here is a pic from Dean's website. Should I make the hole just large enough for the handles to attach? As of right now they don't even go on all the way and have no clips

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.
IF you keep the hole small, you should have no problems as you will need to enlage it when you do get the right parts - I'd say that's fine for now. For the clips, run by AutoZone or Advance auto and go to their "Help" section (By Dorman products) and they will have something that will work for you.

What's wrong with the existing components? Tach and speedo are mechanical, check your cables.youngen wrote:anyone know were i can buy a tach, speedometer, and a gas gauge that work?

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.
Can anyone help me identify this mystery part I've been hanging onto since 1980?
I'm thinking it is a part off my '67 SPL311, but I'm not sure...........

Re: The Quick/Small/(Stupid?) Question Thread.
Is the difference between the stock and comp sway bar determined by a circumference measurement or are there other differences to look for? I'm trying to see what I have on the car.
Thanks,
Linda
