Really phenomenal. Make sure you print an 8x10 and put it on the windshield for shows. People need to see what can be done. Would be great if you could park the finished car in the exact same spot and duplicate the first photo.
So what's needed to finish it? Stephen and I are going to clean out both garages and his storage space and get it all up on here and Ebay. You get first dibs.

picked up a couple sheets of 1500, wow that stuff cuts fast, I must have been using the same piece of 1200 for the last 20 years. sanded one more time with 2000. Polished twice with 3m rubbing compound, then twice with the machine polish. shiny. still seems to be missing something,,,

Have you considered wet sanding one spot with some 2000? There may be minimal "damage" under the spots. like fingernail size. Not sure about Cali, but most paint stores can match paint and put it in a spray can. Take them the cowl grille. prolly 12 bucks a can. I bought some "mismatch" for 50 cents a can, painted my chrome clips and grille clips with it.

Really nice, congrats on all your hard work. Is the paint all cured now or still gassing off? I was told no waxing for at least 3 mo after a paint, what is your opinion on that re your car?

still gassing. I can smell it when polishing. In the past, Ive been reluctant to wax within the first year. Then, I'll give it a good Polish, Glaze, wax, and never touch it again
There must be a fresh paint detailer product out there. I use meguiars quick detailer on drivers, spray on wipe off, lasts a couple of washings, doesnt discolor rubber. I have never used it on new paint.
