Stainless should be fine, I intend to do the same thing.
Not only can you replace all trim screws with stainless, they will be cheaper and more durable than getting the originals re-chromed IMO.

On an R16, does the coolant flow go from the bottom radiator hose into the water pump, through the block and head and out through the thermostat housing back to radiator, or vice versa? It makes sense for the hot water from the engine to go to the top of the radiator, but you just never know...

I tried looking info up on the 'net, but I found two different answers according to the car manufacturer.

What I'm trying to find out is: If I ran an electric water pump instead of the mechanical one, would the output of the pump go into the top of the radiator or to the engine block?

Thanks in advance for any help.

p.s. I tried searching the forum, but neither of the two results that came back answered my question.

I disagree

The output of the pump goings into the block!

If you put the output into the radiator, when you get low on fluid the pump will suck air/steam.

Anyone know of a wind tunnel test on the roadster body?
I swear at 65, the rear sucks down toward the asphalt. Could be the wind force on the "tall" windshield. Or am I just breathing too much "fat" carbs?

On my 68 the return line as measured is 5/16" or 8mm, OD the "in" line is 1/4" or 6.3mm OD.
