I am not a flare or body kit guy, but those are very tastefully done, really fit well.
The center console is very smooth, tasteful upgrade as well.
Loving the roadster wall art! Keep up the cool pics, great project.

Thanks y’all. We’re getting close. Fixed my way too short choke cables and too long throttle cable today. Need to crawl underneath the car and double check the tightness of all bolts. Hopefully I’ll get to that tomorrow. Then the car can come down to the ground. After that, side trim and grill.

Frustration has set in. Got the car on the floor, filled it up with gas, and cranked and cranked. Nothing. Shot some starter fluid in the carbs and got it light off but could never get gas in the fuel filter bowl. I pressurized the tank a little and got a little fuel to the filter bowl. Tried cranking some more and no more fuel came
In the filter. I took the fuel line off one of the carbs to make sure there wasn’t any air pressure trapped. Cranked some more and still no fuel came up to the filter bowl.

The frustrating part is that I had the car running on that fuel pump before. Just not from the tank. I had a small portable tank up front, gravity feeding directly to the fuel pump and it worked. Now it doesn’t.

Any ideas before I give up on it and get an electric fuel pump? That sparks a question. Can I leave the stock fuel pump hooked up, add the electric pump in line and just pump through the stock pump? Or is there an issue of possibly pumping fuel into the engine block if the pump diaphragm is bad?

Try filling the carb fuel bowls directly, then tighten well with good gaskets in place. Fuel filter should also be tight....no vacuum leaks. I had this problem many times
Is the pump leaking or do you smell gas in the oil?

Well I went back to the garage and pulled the rubber hose off the filter bowl. Had the wife crank while I checked for vacuum pressure. It had none. ???? Worked (or at least I thought it did) a few months ago when I ran it off the temporary tank. Maybe the gravity did enough to make up for a weak pump?

Are you saying you are not getting anything from the gas tank? If so you may have a blockage. You can use a little air to blow back to the tank, and should be able to hear it bubbling.
Or if it is the pump it might just be the top rubber piece which is pretty easy to change in place. I have also had the screws loosen in the pump, sucking air, so try tightening all of them first

I’m getting zero suction from the pump. Absolutely nothing. I’ll tear into it tomorrow. Might be just easier to bypass it with an electric pump. That’s what my Datsun 520 has and it works just fine.

I would suspect a plugged line from the tank to the pump, or a clogged filter, followed by cracked or old rubber hoses anywhere in the line or a leak in the fuel filter. Really silly question, and please don’t take offense, but how much gas is in the tank?
