Another place where I went "oh, that will be good enough...". Nope. I decided that it came from the factory that way...

Your car doesn't need paint! Looked beautiful in the Solvang pics I saw, as always.

Whoever painted your car did a great job I would find out who did it and and have them do it. Longevity has it's merits. If I did it, that would be a really long commute for me after work everyday

David,
Although you are getting one, you might want to fix yours as a spare. Carefully drill a little hole at the post, then Gorilla glue the little post in. I think I drilled by hand to avoid cracking it.
I did mine.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

^ Good idea. The pin was missing, however I do have some misc clips with plastic pins . Ill check dimensions. Thanks

This experience is a bit surreal, I walk out to sand bondo and there is a painted car. For over 30 years I have wanted to paint a Datsun roadster.
Without this site, I would still be looking at a hulk.
Thanks Steve.
Alvin, your passion for your car, your photos, putting it all out there for us, is well, motivating to say the least. Thank you.
Michael Spreadbury A positive attitude, not letting anything stand in your way. Uplifting at a time twhen I really needed it. Thank you

David,

I remember all those months that car was for sale on Craigslist-- it really looked like a forgotten dream. The car looks stunning... now you just need to finish the SR swap in the other one! :)

Looking forward to the day our cars meet!

I'm so glad you posted the early pic and the after. That is exactly how I remember the car on Craigslist. Wonderful job, the car has a special place in my heart now, and I don't even own it.
