YES ! I had the same reaction.

The thing is, get a load of the demographic range shown. There's the older guy in the foreground with the same demeanor of "fascinating!" as the younger guys around the periphery.

The range of their reactions, if I could speculate, probably goes from seeing something in a whole new light (for the younger staff) to a melancholy sense of nostalgia for, say, the guy leaning over the engine bay, who remembers...

SCOTT,

You keep loading me up with screen savers, THANK YOU.

As I put the latest one up, I realized a coincidence. A couple weeks ago I picked up one of the Matchbox-sized "311" models that were posted on here, and just now suddenly was struck by how much it reminds me of your car. So, herewith, I'm dedicating my little model to you and your trip.

Well in truth, with all of that incredible material, Scott could publish his own Roadster calendar - for the next few years!
(Still agree that the corporate office one is classic and does indeed "belong" on a Roadster calendar)
"When all else fails, force prevails!" Ummm, we're gonna need a bigger hammer here.

I think that the Corporate Office photo would be an awesome cover. The one in front of the sign is somewhat ruined by the streetlights. A little creative photoshop could fix that though.

And thanks everybody for all the photo compliments...I gotta say that a lot of it is equipment, though. I've got a lens with enough glass to suck photons in from distant stars, a camera body with a sensor the size of a cafeteria tray, and I'm shooting in RAW and then cleaning up in Lightroom for most of them, so I can be totally sloppy and then just fix it later. In short, I'm cheating. :)

I was talking to a friend last night about the whole cheating thing.. He basically said the same thing..

But the truth is if you don't know what to point it at and how to arrange the things you are shooting and how to see a future photo just by imagining what will be where, all the equipment in the world won't save you..

Nice photos Scott!

No, it's not cheating at all.

The camera you choose has a lot to do with it. However, you have to be there in the first place. Then you maneuver into the right spot and many times have to possess the willingness to wait for just the right moment or light to fall the right way. Then you shoot as much as you can so you can toss the marginal ones. Harder in the old film days, but digital still requires skills to do it right.

Scott has the photog's eye for sure plus he has seen some incredible, interesting stuff on this journey. We are all just plain fortunate to have been allowed along. To use the old nissan tag line, "enjoy the ride" Scott; I have been even though not physically there in the car with you.
