Finally got the exhaust almost completed. Now need to finish welding then strip and finish painting the frame.

Seats what to do, what to do???

Looks like I'll be going the same way as Mshort07 did, and cutting the seats down. Well here is my adventure in trying to make the STI seats fit the roadster, well better than before at least.......

It seems there are no challenges that you cannot overcome!

Well the frame stayed straight, was a little concerned with all my cutting and welding how the alignment would turn out. So I decided to take it for a quick alignment and see.

Final assembly? not sure, obviously I'm working on several things at once, case in point the seats - So I haven't shown everything as I'm doing it. What's next? Put body back on and continue on with electrical and then fire it up. Everything on the frame is 95% complete.

I wanted to get the frame to the alignment center to make sure my "Gas Monkey" ideas for lowering the car were going to work out. It is no secret my son wanted the car bagged and as low as possible, but with RCMike's urging and cost/complexity of doing a bag system I went with coil springs - which by the way I'm still trying to wrap my mind around getting that sorted out as well. - one thing at a time and maybe some of the forum member can help me out. But back to my lowering. As I have been working on the car I had the Dean lowering springs out of the front end and just the shocks on the rear end. The frame sat on the bumpstops and over time to me it just looks right. Remember I had to raise the body 1" from the frame so the throttle bodies would not have to be relocated. I hated the higher stance but loved the extra room under the hood, extra 1" of head room and seat to steering wheel room. So what to do? well I went about getting that 1" back and then some.

Everything I have done I can easily undo, even weld the spring buckets back to stock.

Parking brake.....

At first I wasn't going to do a parking brake just because it didn't seem high on my priority list, but doing it later seemed much harder. I'm good friends with the owner of Anchorage Yamaha and on their new side X side they are putting in the Recluse style clutches in their sport bike inspired transmissions, makes driving easier with out stalling. Most people love it and so if I want to go that route the parking brake is a MUST. Don't want to have to chalk the wheels everywhere I park! So here is my solution to parking brake.

First I ordered the three cables that go to the RX7 rear end, one center, bare cable, and the two sleeved cables to each caliper. I sent back the center and picked the longer cable so their both the same and I only needed one replacement.
