how many liters of epoxy did you use till now, Erica.
Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.

The electric scheme is on your way.

Good grief, did someone shoot that car with a shotgun?? That looks like bird shot damage to the rear panel. I would LOVE to hear the story behind that!!

I would considering a better rear panel, a lot of pitting at the left side.
But strange is that the right side is clean.

I like the shotgun story...
...but it's just because of hammering out the dent, to shrink the metal which blows up from hammering on metal. They didn't used the best platemetal tool for that but hey you don't see that after a thick layer bondo...I am not gonna replace that plate.
The painter has a task of hammering out al dents and make the metal as nice as possible, he likes to use a minimum of bondo before he sprays on the new paint, so the manhours will be building a huge bill...

saturday the body goes off to the paintshop...that gives some time for firing up the engine and all other stuff which need to be done (painting fueltank), renumbering my schematic wiring, etc.

pointed some arrows where the painter should give some attention to for a perfect straight look

the dots are for drilling holes so we can put anti corrosion stuff in the sills

the trunk, needed some glue, exspecially at the left side behind the wheel arch to level somemetalparts, so if there will be water it will be dropped by the hole instead of eating metal

the glue side

right/goodside

overview

cowlplate depainting, i thought the original color was grey, but i find here some red...

Re: SR20DE NA S-spec into a 67.5 "1600" in the netherlands

today removed the side bars (in the door opening) to remove the last paint and bondo there
and made the rolling frame under it.

made some jackstands under the rolling frame, they are now higher up and welded, also made some more U shape to keep things more on it's place. It's easier to work on for the painter

imaging me allready sitting there.....

frame at the background

ready for take off...to the paintshop

Epic! Loved the pic with you in the drivers seat. Gotta have that vision very clear in your head throughout a process like this or it never gets done! If that's a Border collie he/she can probably help you chase down parts (or herd the parts into a bin!)
Is car restoration something you all do for a living, or is this one of those long European vacation times I hear about vs the "nose to the grinding stone" schedules us Americans tend to keep (with productivity statistics showing we're no more efficient or effective, but less happy in general... I am a social scientist who is somewhat interested in that kind of stuff)?
