2003 corvette pewter effect. Tha chromabase was 500 a gallon, so I opted for the 180 a gallon Nason. The Nason clear is the same formula as the old chroma clear.
The chroma base onthe inside of the boot lid matches well.

[quote="MSmethers"]Looks awesome David. I looove that silver. Glad to see you opted for the Deeeelux lighting kit. Makes things much easier when putting clear on those low areas and the ends.

Great Job. Rest your back and your body for a day or two and admire your progress.

My favorite part of painting is unmasking and nitpicking it to death. :smt096
Windshield will be my biggest challenge. Curious if Datsunparts glass and rubber is a no brainer :?:

I gotta ask - did you actually paint it IN your garage up on those jack stands? If so, how????

Wow! The Color with the chrome and the wheels looks perfect. Everything looks shiny and super straight. Better than new.

Wow howcan the Chromabase be so much more expensive than the Nason? 500 a gal vs 180? Quite the difference.
Car is looking great David, keep up the good work

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

When I was in my 20s I used to "borrow" a garage to paint,,,the deal was to paint the garage owners car as well,,,,2 cars for 600 measly bucks. I think I only did that twice.
maybe three times. :smt017

If you're serious about needing the help, I will arrange to be there! Pm me your address and phone and we'll talk.

Regardless, looking great man. I hear you on the headlight scoups not fitting now... happened to me too. And chipping the paint? Right after it was painted I left a screw driver on the engine somewhere that dented the hood when I closed it... grrrrrrrr!

Also, when it is all done you have to post a before and after pic. I remember seeing Andy languish on craigslist week after week... that Roadster sure is lucky to have landed in your hands!
