Picked up the SS caliper spacers today on the way home from the coast. They're really nice!! Plus....no need to plate or paint. I've got the first cut on the OD cut. I need to grab that surface and tweak, recut the ID, then polish the OD and I should have some ready to go. Depending on when the rotors show up saturday will depend on whether I cut the rotors sat or sun. Either way, I should have at least 5 kits with rotors ready to go by monday. At least 5 more basic(no rotor) kits, as well.
I started to post the kits up in the for sale section, but it said something about used parts. I don't consider myself a vendor, but if the site does, let me know. If it's cool to post these there, I'll do that when I get a chance. Basically, I've got a couple more ready. I'm going to have to order some more hardware, which may happen tomorrow or the next day. But...the "heavy lifting" is done if guys want to upgrade over the winter.
I just ordered 10 more rotors and hardware so I'll have plenty of these for a bit.
I've got a handful of bearing spacers that have slight "blems" in them. I don't want to cut them any smaller because they still fit the seal nicely. I don't want to throw them away since I think they'll still seal grease just fine. I need to check my hard costs, but I'm thinking about putting these out there at a discount for those guys that need the price break more than a perfect seal surface. pm me if you have an interest in them.
Mike,
Got the parts yesterday. Great work! They are almost too beautiful to use.

I just wrote this all up in a pm for another member. Since I've had the question about multiple kits more than once I thought I'd post it here, as well. My site isn't set up for to give a discount on a second kit so if you're ordering more than one, get in touch with me directly.

You’re right, it’s a bit hard to follow it all in the 311s.org thread. I think it’s pretty straight forward on my site when ordering one each, but since you’re talking about two, I’ll run through it here since the site isn’t equipped for or even mention a discount on a second kit. I don’t “include†the rotors, but I do have them available with the center hole opened up to fit the stock hub.
The basic kit is $100 and is shipped in a $5 small flat rate priority box for a total of $105. I’ll take 10% off the second kit(making it $90) and ship them in one box, so it would be $195 total for two basic kits shipped.
The rotors are $100 and are shipped in a $15 large flat rate priority box.
If you order the basic kit and a set of rotors at the same time, it’s $220 because I put the $5 of shipping from the basic kit on insurance when they’re shipped together.
I’ll do 10% off the second set of rotors too (making them $90) and I’ll pay for the insurance on each box($5x2+$10). Sorry, but I have to ship them in two separate large boxes, but that will make it $30 instead of $40.
Hopefully, I made that more clear and didn’t confuse the information more. lol
This is just a hobby for me at this point, so for liability reasons, I’m assuming your using these off road or on a static display. If parts are bad or don’t fit, I’ll certainly work with you, but I can’t be responsible for proper installation or failure on the road. None of this is DOT approved.
A member just asked me about the 411 kit fitting the spl310. About half way through taking these pics, it dawned on me that I had done this comparison before and knew the answer.....at that point it was just easier to finish than to find the old pics.
So...for any 310 guys looking at this thread and wondering what your disc options are, I'll post these up, but I'm sorry to say that neither of my kits will fit your cars. I'll be happy to entertain talks about someone paying time/materials for me to prototype a set for the 310's
I didn't specifically check this time, but if I remember right, all 3 spindles are the same height, ball joint to ball joint. And they have the same ball joint hole/taper top and bottom. The last pic is the quick check to see that the dimensions are the same for the bearing diameters on all 3. The 311 spindle is longer, meaning the hubs will not swap between the 310 and 311. But, the 310 and 411 should swap hubs.
Is this going to affect the offset of the front wheels at all? My front wheels stick out a little as is and i wouldnt want more of that hehe...infact if i could i'd like the opposite. Either way im guessing it doesnt affect this but would like to make sure.
The spacer pushes the entire hub/rotor out about 2mm(1/8"). In Shifty's case, it pushed it out less than the wheel spacers he was able to get rid of, so he gained some clearance.
