At 10:30 this morning the nice mail lady dropped off my complete hose clamp order from Jim (JT68), by 1:00 everything is installed and looks great. Another quality product from Jim in addition to the waterpipe and center linkage - buy with confidence!

Glad to hear that you didn't rush the job. What is the center linkage? I already have the pipe.

Well I expect an invite to eat dinner and use your roadster as a table. It's cleaner than my dinner table 8) ...
Really nice ... :smt082

Well. I managed to get a "working switch" after a couple of days of mashing of teeth.
I'm sure the rev light switch works and it does not leak! Here is a picture ...

Apparently the washer advice herein (1/16 inch shim), is not good for the older style switch.
I hate Nissan! Because my backup is on even in neutral.

Back to laying on my back ... sigh ... wish I had a lift ... oh well life is good anyway!

I had a Triumph back in the early 90's that had a similar fault that took me a long time to work through - it was a royal pain!

I got a nice aluminum radiator yesterday from my favorite Armenian Roadster pal, Shant :) And in only 1 day too! Thanks Shant! LoL
So I took a look at how the shroud lines up, looks like I need to slot the holes a bit, unless there is another way to do it. No big deal these adjustments because I know these radiators are so nice.

Back up Light switch 67 tranny

I backed out the back-up switch leaked some tranny fluid and cussed, removed the crush washer.
Back in goes the switch and all seems well so far. Backup lights work in reverse only now. Sweet!
Note on the early switches (SAE threads) do not use a washer unless you want
your backup lights on all the time.

No more of this trying to cheat gravity by tilting the car! I will drain the tranny fluid from now on.
I'd be dead now if I had not used some extra backup jack stands. Doh!

Hydraulic jacks are not to be trusted. I've seen too many of them not hold the pressure and slowly or suddenly let the car down. I do not get under a car without a jack stand.

It should go without saying, but cinder blocks are never a good idea either.
