How about NOS breaker plate and recurve springs in the Nissan packages? I almost don't want to cut them open.

Flux core electronic solder and a propane torch work really well.

Yes, I lost the cap for my windshield fluid reservoir last fall and I have no idea where.
Well, I lost my reservoir, err well I think I lost it, the early 70's are hard to
remember every thing for some reason .. LOL

Didn't driver her much last summer because of broken foot. Wasn't running very well at the end of the summer. I thought it was the carbs, so i tried adjusting them. Made it soo much worse. Would always sputter (and sometimes backfire) when accelerating. Especially around 3000rpms

So she sat in the garage.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago. Warm, sunny day. Took her out, and same problem. Ugh. Was about to bring to a professional.

Then I found out there was a local Datsun owner that I did not know about. He also new about how to tune the SU!!! He came over with his beatiful white (red interior) 67.

Dave came over this past Sunday and adjusted everything. Ran great, with only an occasional sputter. I ordered new plugs and wires. So hopefully that will help that.

Looking forward to more driving time this summer

Nice. If you can, check the grease in that breaker plate. It can turn to jelly even in the package.

Pretty much. The hardest part was sourcing out right angle terminals. Just ended up going the cheaper route. Also, looking at few of Mike Young's Roadsters made me feel better about my decision.

I really tried to source out SRL OEM looking cables (Negative - Black w/ Yellow stripe), but quotes were too much or it just didn't look right. I am happy with the way they turned out and in the end cost me around $40.

Well not to be outdone by those with a really fancy lift (you know who you are  ), I raised the back of my car
with my own lift. This was so I could remove my failed backup light switch (and not leak royal purple on the G floor)
and replace it tomorrow with a repaired one.

Fingers crossed on this repair ... if it leaks, or does not work, I'll get a new one. Or hand the
flashlight to the misses!
