The red 233 car is getting your harnesses installed in it.
I'm ready for them.
Kev.

Not as ambitious as all of you, but ordered seat belts today and I think I fixed my gas gauge. Essentially my old gauge always showed full, so I took it out and tried to see if it would read other levels, no luck. So i have 2 spares and the first one worked out of the tank, but when I put her in the tank it shows full, now need to run a few gallons to see if it works (fingers crossed.)

Very nice indeed! I bought mine a long time ago (before you were born).

HAHAHAHAHAH

Nice work Aiden. Nothing like a little elbow grease and DIY. Are you "roadster restoration" on instagram?

Found a correct YOM Washington state license plate to use as my plate instead of the ugly flat printed collector plate that i have on there now. This weekend hoping to install that and also a nos twin tip exhaust resonator ro replace the plain tail pipe currently installed on the car.

Took the top part of the 67 half year headrests I bought apart yesterday. They have some cancer in them.

I'd like to be doing something for my roadster but will spend a large part of the weekend building harnesses and putting a power steering pump on the Acura.

I emailed a guy today about possibly giving the roadster a big Datsun brother, named 280Z. Uh oh.

Getting more of the resto completed. Added button snaps front carpet and installed passenger side carpet. Installed radio console and added the cool SRL311 badge. I know the badge will make it go faster!!!
Also took all the old vinyl off the spare console. Hope to get a quote from JustDashes on a redo.

Cheating a bit on the "today" part of the subject and catching up on what I've done since I lost 3rd gear a few weeks ago. Speaking of 3rd gear, here's some of it:
3rd gear.JPG
Pulled the engine & transmission (first time for everything...) and, from here on out, most of the jobs I'm doing are very likely over my head! Good times. Thanks to this forum, the Tech Wiki, and the Sheeler book, things seems to be working out ok. We'll see for sure once I get that engine back in. While it's out, I have a few things I'm going to attend to.

I've had a couple of small oil leaks, most likely from timing cover and rear main seal. To get to the rear main seals, I used a bolt with large-diameter washers, some wood, and a mallet to remove the rear main bearing cap:

I've since cleaned the engine bay and done some touch-up painting on it.

I also was fortunate to buy what appears to be a fine-working 4-speed transmission from forum member Linda and will be fitting that to the engine once I finish the other things I want to do while the engine is out. Yesterday, that trans got new front and rear seals, as well as a new gasket on the front cover plate.

You should replace the counter shafts bearings on the new box if you haven't already done so.

I pulled my rear brakes Sunday for a rebuild. Only half way there.

Post cleaning. Short acetone bath and 2 hours in a media tumbler.
