Well, not exactly...the late cover won't work at all on the early base.....the early cover looks incorrect/bad on the late base, but can work fyi. Late base has the hopeless velocity nubs - two thumbs down for those LOL

Thanks Jim! After seeing the open-filter benefits (hp and sound) in that video posted a few weeks ago, I’m getting the itch to find an additional air cleaner to run for daily fun.

Can I drive without the turn signal flasher hooked up? That is the one with the fuse in the fuse holder. My wiring got ripped there and I need to move the car to fix

I've seen a late air cleaner lid on an early base, and an early lid on a late base. It can be done.

I have some oil filters from another car - specifically '87 Maxima. Thread is same, shorter, yet wider, probably the same capacity. What does it matter? Why are filters kinda specific??

As long as they physically fit without contact with other parts and the seal diameter is the same it doesn't really matter. I think all spin on filters have the anti drain back feature, at least Ryco does. The Roadster does require a skinny filter, not much larger in diameter than the seal.

Yes, of course that video was my 67 AF assembly on Brian's car with included velocity stacks and K&N.

I do sell the early backs separately too, but the late cover is much more restrictive than the open version, so you don't really want to do that.

The hazard flasher and turn signal flasher are on separate circuits. The 68 is an oddball in that it has the glass fuse holder spliced to the horn power wire. Should be a blue wire with a white stripe. You can kill the flasher circuit with no effect on the turn signals. However, the power for the turn signals is routed through the hazard flasher switch so if you disconnect the switch it will kill your turn signals.
