Why not just a good rehab on them yourself then perhaps plan for a winter Z Therapy rebuild?. Clean them, new needles, check or replace floats, fuel valves, bowl gaskets, fuel bowl hoses, maybe nozzles, could be a big improvement.

Sadly-Linda has passed away 2022. She was the 311's den mother and drove the first Rare-Parts ball joint project. RIP.

Now that the car is gone I’m catching up on upkeep around the house and garage. Decided to drain the water out of my air compressor today. When was the last time you drained yours? Apparently it’s been a while since I drained mine. Got 2-3 gallons of water out of it today. 😳

I drain my compressor every time I use it, leaving the drain valve open until next use. I do not want to accumulate moisture that can run through my air tools and cause the hazard of a rusty tank. With the advent of cordless impacts, I find I use my 60gal. compressor much less than before. FWIW Pat

Harbor freight has an auto drain kit for about $10. Be sure to read the reviews, as you may want to swap out some of the parts for higher quality items. After two years the auto drain valve on mine is starting to get stuck in the on position. I will probably just buy another kit and swap out the valve.

Daily. Still No visually detectible rust after 27 years of service.

I have one of these, new in box. Did not work on my compressor. Someone can have for price of shipping. Pat

A slow process. Wasn’t expecting it to be this slow but work is coming along. Painter said he’s close.

This picture’s at the painters. The painter said it’s a cobra kit car that’s rough. He tells people he’d rather have the Datsun then the kit cobra.

The big day is finally here!

Got the phone call, hooked the trailer up, and I was off to the painter to pick up the car. It’s all done!

Just leaving the painter.

Got so excited when I got home I just had to mock up the fender flares, side skirts, and front air damm.

Can’t wait to get back to working on it and ordering remaining parts. It will have to wait, at least for this weekend, we’re going camping. I’m sure my mind will still be on the Datsun.
