Single leaf rear springs. (longish post)

I have the Nissan comp springs up front, and had the Nissan comp springs (brand new) on the rear. Like Will said, they actually curved in the opposite direction. Not only causing a harsh ride, but sagged a bit in the rear. I went back to the 67.5 springs and added a lowering kit I picked up from a fellow 311s member. It lowered the rear by almost an inch. Ride height is now slightly higher in the rear by almost one inch. The lowering kit consisted of two aluminum plates, about 3/8" thick. You could use one or two or more depending on the desired ride height. I did not want to go any lower as I wanted to keep the geometry somewhat in line. The kit came with new U blots.

Well, I won't be racing the roadster anytime soon, so I might as well pull a spring off and send it out.

Lower timing chains aren't supposed to loose there rollers.

Do you have any pictures of your car to share (with the springs)?
Where are you autocrossing, and are there any other roadsters in the area?
How about some more details on the car?? Setup?

Would be nice to check out the car, but I'm a little too far away.......

I dont have any pictures of the springs on the car up close.There are a few that were taken at the autocross Sunday .For the most part we autocross in the south,mainly in Florida.No at this time no other roadsters are autocrossing in the area that I know of.
As far as the setup,do you mean suspension or the car?

Did you get some sets of the springs? How much are they and do you have any left? If they are gone can you get me the info on where and who to contact for a set?

Talked to Mark this morning. Says the springs will ship out today. If I get them by Friday they will be installed this weekend.
The springs are the only thing keeping me off the road right now. Fixed a leaky gas tank (vent hose came loose), working on a little clean up of the battery box under the parcel shelf, then back to some exhaust work........

Both. 2L or 1600?
Have you tried the rear stabilizer bar with the monoleafs? Anybody tried it?
Am I out in left field thinking the rear stabilizer would work better with the monoleafs?
Why 2 sets? Different spring rates?

Its a 2000.The reason I had two sets made were for different spring rates.I dont use a rear sway bar.It wouldnt work out at all as the car is set up pretty loose.Might be good if you were into drifting.

No one needs that much oversteer, the rear sway bar is the biggest waste of time and $ you can spend on a roadster. Even a drifter wouldn't like the oversteer.

How long have you had the composite springs?
Do you have the 2" or 1.5" eyes on them?
Delrin or standard supplied bushings?

Keep us posted Daryl! I am waiting until you get yours before moving forward (sorry to use you as guinea pig). Any idea how long from order to delivery time for them once they are up and ready? I recently purchased new tires for the car and was surprised to see how much taller a 195/60 is vs a 195/55 that are somewhat worn. I don't think I could run those tires in the back the way I have things set up (shimed out to fill the wheel flairs) until I switch to springs that are not sagging. Thanks!

Ive had the springs since last year,only been on the car a few months.I think the eyes are 2 inches,not sure though.I ordered the springs with the delrin bushings but wasnt wild about the way they fit so we made some out of delrin.

Springs have arrived!

They are still not a 'bolt in' as I had expected. I have a couple of things to work out.

Will try to get them in this weekend, but may take a little longer than that.....

I'll post some pictures as soon as I am able.
