Cleaned, lubed, and replaced a broken spring in the EI distributor over the weekend. Probably a good idea to check the dizzy once in a while for such things.
Thanks to Tom at East Coast Roadsters for the spring set. Linda
Be careful when removing the reluctor so you don't crack the magnetic assembly under the stator. I did.

I guess the only way to know would be to try a set but the only problem I see is contrast "black on black"........Gregs672000 wrote:Oh man, that car is really coming together. I'm very partial to black and white cars. The blacked out lights look really great. I have black dot tri-w's (cheap ones) for headlights, but wonder if these would look good on my black car. They look GREAT with the white contrast... Lovin it!shant67 wrote:Installed some new black housing HID lights 8000k purchased from eBay $55

Busy day. Changed my SU's out for Solexes.
Replaced my dashboard with a new uncracked unit.
...and installed some early Nissan Comp springs just for fun.
Whew, I'm taking a day off to enjoy the Super Bowl. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Wow, that engine bay may be the tidiest I've ever seen, good job! Is that autolite battery real or is it a cover? I hope to be ready for a battery soon and think a modern battery just looks out of place. Mike

Thanks! The autolite is just a cover - I stole that idea from Andrew W.'s car after I failed to find a suitable classic Japanese battery. I had to customize it quite a bit to get it to fit and look right though.theunz wrote:Wow, that engine bay may be the tidiest I've ever seen, good job! Is that autolite battery real or is it a cover? ...has the correct ORIGINAL "dealer-option" parts though, sans the oil pan - I've seen and read about your personal experience in that area and presently have no interest in living it myself.Alvin wrote:But but but but...it's not an ORIGNAL Solex-equipped roadster???bakerjf wrote:Busy day.
