I clayed my car with Meguiar's clay for the first time ever. It was surprisingly easy. I washed it first, then used some clay lube spray and it went very well. Since it removes all wax I used some liquid spray wax for now.

Installed a firewall brace for the brake master cylinder. Put the windshield washer tank with new pump back together.

Not for my car. I got bored since I was told stay home today and recover from anesthesia. So I made some wires for the 69-70 headlight circuit.

Didn't accomplish anything today, but the last few weeks have been busy. Goal is to fire car for the first time next week; trying to get things finished so once it's running I can DRIVE it!

Finished installing the restored dash and all the wiring, thanks Curtis for your custom engine harness and expertise! Glass guy had a real hard time installing the windscreen; Just Dashes made my rebuilt dash a touch thicker than stock and there was interference in the bottom corners for the gasket/glass. If anyone is thinking of using Just Dashes mentioning this may be a good idea. I couldn't be happier with the finished dash though and would highly recommend them.

Also had JT68's SS exhaust system installed by VIP performance in Portland. What a great looking setup this is and thanks to Jim for providing this beautiful system for my car.

Kim's SS letters for the hood solved my weird issue of misaligned holes and crooked letters. Lot's of elbow grease to polish but a perfect solution to my problem.

Folks who come to our shop think the stance on 1034 is spot on, though clearance under the pan is just a little more than a buck. I'll have to watch the speed bumps.

Here the car patiently sits waiting to be started for the first time since 1981. Fingers crossed!

Really looking good Paul. I've yet to get my windshield installed, but have already noticed that with my dash cap there is very little room in the corners for the rubber. This will be one of the few times I give in and let someone else do something on my car. I understand getting the SS trim back on is no fun at all! I can visualize cut fingers, and various tools and bad words flying across the garage!! Any idea how much actual time it took him? Mike

I've been waiting for this car to fire up. Paul and I exchanged some emails yesterday on a wiring question.. He made my brain work.

I took a pick of "oil pan room" with lowered front springs (Michael Young's) and 185 70 series 14 inch tires just for grins.
The pan shows a few battle scars over its 42 year existence, most recent is the floor jack rubbing it ... oh well

Mike, it took him four and a half hours to install the windscreen, so a long time. He said it wasn't fun but we agreed it turned out great.

I should have removed the defrost grills for the install however, several teeth got busted out, my own fault on that...

Thanks Paul, good advice on the grills, hadn't even considered that being an issue! FOUR and a 1/2 hours!! Double sure I don't want to tackle that one now!
