Re: Cool License Plates?

Alright, it's bad enough when the red light & speed cameras take a picture of one of my cars, using the license plate registration to mail a violation notice.

But it's a real insult when I get something in the mail accusing me of owning a 280ZX and that such a car triggered a speed trap earlier this month.

Still trying to figure this one out.

Not my car, not my tag.

The last time this happened was about 25 years ago. A ticket processing person entered DATSUN in the database for a ticket that was handwritten as DATZUN. Nice of them to include a photocopy of the ticket, allowing me to point out their error.

Wow, that is strange! I got one the other day, the bastards. I watch that spot carefully, but I think I ve been nailed there before. It's on one of my routes to work and I get in trouble if I clock in even a minute late... So it cost me $121.00 for 45 in a 35.

I have found that the following are all available in AK. Wish we had 7 places to play with. We only have 6. I can place the dot though for the 67.5. Not sure what I should go for. I kinda like the 96 HP which downplays how zippy the 1600s are.

I found these plates from 1968 that have never been issued check out the envelope. For the day when I have my car good enough to present.
Yesterday got my real plates in the mail.

I'm applying for legacy plates in Ca. they want three choices and my creativity only extends to two.
Zogster (or anyone in Ca.) mind if I steal your idea for my third choice?

Absolutely no problem. From me. When I get to California and to all the shows you enjoy down there we can all park next to each other.

Thanks. I've spent some good times in Anchorage. I went to Rumrunners when it was just a little place. Still got the T-shirt.

I am a little annoyed with Calif. DMV. they have you pick three choices for a plate but won't tell you upfront if they are available. They just send your stuff back so you can start again. Also, they won't let me use the original plate number because it looks like a license plate. Their records should show that it was to the same car and has been turned in...last century.
