Just added 1,048 miles commuting to work the last two weeks.

Many years ago I commuted to work regularly until a close-call with a lifted truck on the freeway.
Now it's mass transit time!

Since I got my recent roadster - 2/22 - unless I need to haul stuff, only roadster - 5K miles already. Sad, but fun, that my car is the only 'interesting' one on the 405.

Spotted in Manhattan Beach. It was in a good parking spot and was there before and after my long lunch, so I have to believe the owner drove it to work, plus the towel over the dash/ steering makes me think he was going to be there for a while

Must be an enthusiast...

Dear Datsun Roadster,

I had fun commuting to work with you this week. 100 miles a day never felt so invigorating and I cherish our time together through every on ramp, expressway and twisty shortcut. Please accept my humblest apologies for subjecting you to Bay Area traffic. Looking forward to more adventures with you!

Love, Alvin

In honor of 311s day I drove the roadster to work this week.

While driving on the freeway I was reminded of how surprisingly low our cars are to the ground. This still trips me out...I occasionally look over my shoulder at the lane markers flying by and in the same field-of-view the door handle appears to be inches from the road...anyway I suggest you try it for kicks... but be safe

I tried to capture this phenomenon on video enjoy!
You can also see that I spotted a clean Porsche 914 on the way home...classic car owners are the coolest.

We finally had a break from weeks of smoky air. I took the roadster to work and enjoyed the long way home via Skyline.

I have a soft spot for mid 60’s Plymouth’s since my first car was a 64 Belvedere. Mine was a 2 door sedan rather then a hardtop like your picture. While the hardtop my friend had was much better looking than my sedan, I took solace in the fact that he only had a 383 while I had the 426 wedge with a four speed and 4:56 gears. That car was a blast and darn near indestructible.
Seems somewhat under powered by today’s muscle car standards
