Thanks bud! Ya maybe we can do a little cruise once I'm back on the road.RustBucket wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 3:08 pm Look'n good! Nice work. Looking forward to seeing you out in it soon.

Thanks Simon
Absolutely! Such a great feeling... also I've always wanted this car to look/feel great but never wanted to reach for concours level. I want to drive it and just enjoy it without worrying about adding miles or getting minor scratches/chips on the bottom bumper when driving. So all in all I am really happy with how it looks so far.theunz wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 4:54 pm Wether is two feet or two miles, doesn’t matter, it’s a great feeling to have your project move under it’s own power again. Sounds like it’s going to be a stunner!
Thanks Greg! Hey I tried looking for pictures of your roadster but I couldn't find it. Can you send me a link to your members garage or do you have an album with pics of your roadster? I want to see what you did with the black/gold combo.Gregs672000 wrote: Sat May 16, 2020 10:03 pm I'm interested to see the rear with the gold straps and the exhaust etc. I can wait until you're ready!
Thank you Nick, Glad to help! Gotta give credit to Lynn as the business person who manages all the parts and projects, I just tinker in the garage these days!Mackn367 wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2020 2:14 pmI'd love to take all of the credit but a HUGE part of this successful start up is b/c I actually purchased the small block motor off Jim Tyler - Datsun Restoration Products. Not only does he create A+ quality products, but he also has probably the most patience in answering any question I had.... and still have lol. He has been a huge help from the time I purchased my Datsun over 2 years ago.theunz wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 12:52 pm Not often that you see a new build start right up and settle down to a smooth idle like that, good job.
I’m not known for smiling much, but when I first drove mine again after 35 years I had an ear to ear smile on my face! Maybe even a tear in my eye.
Not sure if this is ok based on forum rules (if so please delete) but I am going to plug in the DRP website here even though many already have it saved haha....

Agreed! I probably should’ve recorded my face too - just imagine constant smilenotoptoy wrote: Sat May 23, 2020 9:29 am Congratulations, nothing like the satisfaction of that first drive!
Thanks Greg!!! I used to kick myself in the butt choosing black (I was also contemplating a gun metal grey) - but now seeing it I am really happy with the results. But I also really really like seeing these 311s in a dark grey/metallic grey.Gregs672000 wrote: Sat May 23, 2020 12:53 pm The black paint looks awesome man, really nice. Beautiful area, beautiful car... congrats!
