Finished install on my new oil cooler system, getting the hose routing right so nothing gets stressed in there..

Once it was all in, I had to test drive it to make sure there were no leaks or anything..

Checking for leaks. All good in there..

Coming down the hill and had to stop. Just a perfect roadster day.

Can't see too well, have you protected the hoses from any sharp edges where they go through that hole in the radiator support panel?
Methinks there would be a fair amount of induction noise there

Very pretty on the cooler.
Just when I thought there were no mods left for this fine auto, another popped up!
What's next nitros and a parachute?

Well it won't help me go any faster, but I spent the day making and gluing upholstery to my
control panel. Whoever said this painting and such associated with it is easy? Are you available for hire?
Old on the left new on the right ...
Cheers

Msampsel, how did you go about stretching the vinyl to make it form tightly to the panel? I am going to be doing this soon along with recovering the trim piece that runs around the top rear of the cockpit.

Not wanting to steal the thread but, heat is your friend when doing complex shapes.
I covered the cabin waist trim on a warm day.
Did the top surface first then worked the vinyl over the other faces after it became supple in the sunshine.

In my car, the console panels Msampsel covered were painted gloss black not covered in vinyl.

Woo hoo, I managed to get a brand new kangaroo wash bag at a good price. I'll save that for later use or trade.

Yes it was 102 here in AZ for the heat.
Since my "controls box" had old vinyl on it I used them for a pattern.
They fit over about 1/2 to 3/4 inch onto the back and glue to the back and the front. They do not fit on the back
where the chrome part fastens.
If you want a picture of the oldies let me know and I'll provide.
I think my rear trim was the same way, many little pieces glue behind the bar and pull it. I took of the old and used it as a pattern.
Trouble is this was 20 years ago when the car was painted. Nissanman might have a good picture of it.
I cannot get into shutterfly to see. On the rear trim you can sorta test the fit with screws.
Mine is all one piece of vinyl. I see why some are chromed now ... not mine.

Use the pulldown tab and scroll to 876 - 900 some great pics of the trim piece recover.
No digital camera when I did mine. Now if we could just teach Nissanman to drive on the right side ...

Oh silly me he already does drive on the "right" side of the car ....
