Pulled the car out of the garage and washed it down. Shined so nice I decided to pass on waxing.

Took the boy for a spin around the neighborhood and put her away. Hoping to go to local cars and coffee this coming Saturday....weather pending.

Cleaned steering box and filled it too. Trying to determine source of leak. Topped off transmission with royal purple gear oil. Added some silicone to my backup light switch to stop tranny fluid leak, and drained and filled the differential with new fluid. What a fun job (if you like wrestling with pigs in mud) this is.
Next Sunday off to a car show nearby

Put my sheep skin seat cover back in (the wife stitched it for me) and took the car for an up-hill curved 25 mile trek.
Makes me wonder if I will ever sell this car or not ... someday for sure ...

In the spirit of front grill pics here is one from a car painted in '95. Looks like her tongue is hanging down and a pic of the gauges is included too to show the non '67 set. No 8000 K tach or 160 mile speedo in '67 oh well ...

Finished the brakes, adjusted the clutch, had the safety inspection and got the title and plates. The rain kept me from driving more than a couple of miles but what a hoot !!! Pulls hard from 2800. It has more power than the 1600. I know it's supposed too. but first time in a 2000. Still smiling from the short drive last night. All system Go !!!! I'll be terrorizing the streets today.
Got to go drive.

I entered my towns annual car show, didn't win anything again, but an 82 Camaro and a Pep Boys catalog Jeep did. I had to clean, clay, wax and polish the old paint for the show.

After, and then did more.

Bought replacement float gaskets after noticing gas leaking from my rear float chamber. Opened it up and noticed that the brass float was filled with gas, so I switched them out for the plastic floats. Now I'm ready for the 80 degree weather for tomorrow. :D

Went to the Motorcars on Mainstreet in Coronado with Mihalko. I think we were the only two Japanese cars in the show. The people loved the cars and we counted 6 people who said that the Datsun roadster was the first car they ever owned, not to mention all the others that had owned one in there life time and wish they still had it. One guy loved my car and asked me what it what I thought it was worth. I told him around $25-$30K. He said he thought it would be worth much more and offered me $25K on the spot. I turned him down. 8)
