On my '67, also with a megaphone tip like in your pic, and at the location you have indicated, I have exactly 3 3/4" ....

I recently purchased a set of 280zx (six spoke) wheels for my roadster. Can anyone point me to the correct lug nuts? I got a set off amazon 7/16-20, with washer, but the shank seems to be too long. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZK4LWVW?re ... asin_title

Just look for the same thing 7/16 shouldered lug nuts with the added term short shank.

Yes, make sure you get the correct ones. Metric will bolt on but will not be secure. As Dave pointed out, they are a "shouldered" lug nut that centers the wheel. I did not have them and instead used some "Craigar" washers (thick washers that fit the wheel and the lug nut). I was also using some wheel spacers in the rear due to having body wheel flairs and had to open up the lug hole to allow the lug nut to go through the wheel and tighten as otherwise the wheel would not seat against the drum, but that won't likely be an issue for you.

Make sure the shank diameter is correct also, there is a z wheel that uses the large diameter shank also.

You can always cut the shank to length.
