I finished all the brakes and hung the lines on the frame, ready now for the tub and panels when the painter finishes up with them. Mocked up the carbs and header just to stare at it for a bit, dude in a Firebird came screeching up to a stop in front of our shop when he saw it and said it was f#%@&!g sick, I think that was a compliment...

Once upon a time, "sick" was, well, used and interpreted differently :)
It looks GREAT!
My SP310 is moving Hospitals shortly.
Shortage of hands means another Workshop is doing the body.
It doesn't bother me, as long as the end of May deadline is achieved

Stretch,
Since you have the body off....can you take some photos of the alternator mounts. I want to swap my alternator to that side as well but I cannot figure out how to do the bottom mount.
I was thinking maybe I need to bring the smog pump mount in to a machinist and have it drilled out and tapped for a larger thread, slip a threaded rod in there, then find a 2" adapter to fill the gap between the alternator and the smog pump bracket. Is that what you did?

This is what we did to my buddy's in MKE.

I managed to find a steel (passenger side) alt mount and will do the same for my stroker.

That's not sick, it's sexy, ya baby, dead sexy! I know what you mean about just staring at it at times... Something about Mikuni type carbs puts a big grin on your face!

Enjoy, it only gets better! :smt006

This was a few days ago, but I repainted some knobs that are "for show only" Just some model paint and acetone to remove the excess.

As a tip, if you buff the knobs first, you end up with a nicer looking final product.

I would clear or buff them, but I like the textured rubber feel they currently have. It also helps that I don't have a choke, nor do I smoke or have an electric blanket. They were cleaned really well though, the amount of brown color that came off them was ridiculous.
