That's the impression I got. Dan has mentioned it was scary to drive, unless it's just too much horsepower, but the HP combines with oversteer could be unsettling.

The previous owner of my car put it on there. I myself wouldn't notice a difference with it off or on the car as I don't race, so I'm just gonna leave it on there. It's scary to drive because I can give it partial throttle and easily spin the tires with the open diff I have, and I only dare do donuts with the shoulder harnesses on.

I plan on it, it will be the last hurrah before it goes back into storage in a few weeks. Mostly in case I break something.

Unfortunately no smoking tires as the weather hasn't been cooperating and now it's time to prepare for storage.

On another note, the previous owner found me through a youtube video I posted a while back. I had lost his current contact info as when he sold the car he was moving to another state. He said although it was hard to let the car go after 20 years, he is glad to see it went to someone taking care of and enjoying it, and that I'm piecing the car back together.

Thanks for the compliment Mr Steve. I've been keeping busy cleaning up little things, currently I'm refurbishing my original cigarette lighter(would you believe it's in 15 pieces) and, as usual, running new wires. Also on the table is actually testing out my heater core for leaks, pulling the wiper motor, testing and freshening it up(one stuck bolt), and figuring out what is missing from my wiper arms or the pivots as one arm kinda just pulls off too easily.

With snow still being on the ground, not much I can work on so I'm working on the little things.

I'm wiring up the cigarette lighter so I have a 12v source, so I cleaned up the socket and lighter, and would you know it still works? The lighter looks like it was never used, just not in the best of shape.



I also pulled the wiper arms off and realized I'm missing a clip or something that's supposed to hold them on to the pivot assembly. I cleaned and polished the mounting spots, and will need new washers.

Hardly anyone uses the cig. lighter for its original purpose, but in this day and age, a 12V supply for "name that device" is essential
I use my cig. lighter socket for a solar trickle charger.
Simple, effective and cheap.
However, you must have a lighter socket that is connected to the battery at all times

and watch out when you remount it, when you put the ceramic part wrong in the lighter there will be a short cut, and you wiring will burn out.

Yea that ceramic part definitely is tricky to put back together correctly, took a few tries to get it all lined up properly. I couldn't believe how many pieces it goes into, they don't make them like they used to!
