Wow that really sucks, I was looking forward to a great turn out and a good time.

No respect :(

Hi Mike,

Sorry to hear this. Les Mentioned it to me a week or two ago that this was now an Alfa event....

What a shame. We were looking at carting out a bunch of race cars from the west coast.

We could all still show up, have our own events and outnumber the Alfas. Kind of a quiet protest.
I think it's worth the letter writing campaign, the question is who to send them to. 30 or 40 letters and a big turnout this year may lock it in for 2011.

Well, I think that you send them to the Chamber of Commerce for Watkins Glen, Schuyler County and the local news papers...

And just a few years ago Alfa was the feature car at the Glen. Probably getting paid to coincide with the reintroduction of Alfa to North America.

Very good point, I didn't know they were coming back to the US, but that may explain why it was changed. They are WAY better financed than we are.

Dave,

I am sure that I speak for everyone here when I say that we are willing to spend your very last penny teaching the organizers the error of their ways...

If you do that, then I can't buy all those 1500 parts from you.....
