Looks pretty good in the photos!

White with red interior is one of my favorite color combos.

Hi Christine, and welcome!

I really prefer the pre-'68 dashboard like yours (I've got the newer style that has recessed gauges like the 240Z).

Looks like you and the old man have a long fleet in a short driveway. Who gets the garage?

Say, I noticed something under the hood -- two fuel filters ?! ? Check it out -- they're right in front of the battery. Wonder what that's about. Maybe the previous owner really really wanted clean gas?

I dunno. I recommend putting one new, clean one on there with some fresh fuel line, and getting rid of a filter and two clamps that can suck air or leak. The filter nearest the battery has a squeeze-type clamp; they get weak and lose grip as the line stiffens up.

Use quality stainless screw-downs like the one I can see on the forward filter. When replacing the gas line, tighten clamps gently, then come back in a month and re-tighten after the rubber takes a set.

thanks paul for the head up about the fuel filters, i will do it the exact way you stated. the garage is saved for my harley. im going to need a bigger house soon with a 6 car garage .lol to many toys and not enough time to drive them all.
this is my second datsun. i learned to drive in my 1972 b-1200 i sure regret selling that one and my 63 chevy belair. oh well live and learn. thanks

Hey that's cool. A green 1200 was the first car I ever went 90mph in. On 12 inch wheels with bias-ply tires (at least they were new).

It was a dealer car, and my friend's Dad owned the dealership. Over on the license plate thread there's a discussion of cool license plate frames. I've got the Rippel Motors metal frame somewhere, but since it's not Datsun specific it's just a keepsake from way back when.

Keep us posted on your project.

Very nice car. If that needs alot of work, it's sure well hidden. On the east coast we call that condition "damn nice".

thanks, she is now in the shop having a new top put on. i found a gentlemen in vista, california that was able to help me aquire some hard to find parts this week. i got a new trunk latch and a air filter cover. a clip to hold my console lock in and a new clutch slave cylinder, he was honest and fair in his prices. he as a web site called classicdatsunmotorsport.com i was contacted by several different part sellers and the prices ranged from $195.00 to $54.00 for a clutch slave cylinder. i guess being patient and calling around and asking question. helps.

Congrats!! How did you find that?? That is the best color combination in my opinion...and definitely the rarest. Those seats look original which is always a good sign. I cant believe the owner sold that...(unless you paid a premium) Great Find and thanks for posting pics. You guys in Cali do have the best inventory...LOL!! Ive been trying to find the same exact year and color combo for 3 years:(:( but crazy owners get high on their own supply and ask for over $8K and the condition is nowhere that nice.....

Subject has been discussed a number of times with many options given. Kinda depends on what you want; original AM radio only, or something you can plug your iPod into.

Just a sec while I put on my fire suit........Okay....ready...

If you SEARCH the forums on stereo or radio, you'll find the posts.
