Are these the wheels we get from the Roadster vendors :?:

So, I either grind the wheel or I grind the hub?

Man, mess up a new wheel or mess up the newly finished hubs.

Where's this info before you refurb?

Just tried my new Superlights and they too are showing an interference with the hub. I take it the wheels are OK being lug-centric.

My US mags have been on the car for about 37 years and havent fallen off yet and and they are lug centric, so I'm not too concerned about removing a bit of material from the hubs.
Of course I also have a spare set of hubs which could be turned down on a lathe if I want to make it easier to locate the wheel onto the hub when installing.

Pack Racing (packracingproducts.com), the sole US importer of Superlites, will machine the wheels for you when you order, now that they are aware of the fitment issue. That's if you elect not to do the hubs instead, which would probably be a better compromise. Even though the issue is with the front hubs only, be sure to have all four wheels machined (if you go this route) so you can rotate all four tires.

OK, that begs the question, does this mean a price increase? Will they give feedback to the manufacturer so that they can just make it a production change?

What about those poor folks that have already grinded their hubs? Will Pack Racing replace those hubs with new ones?

I doubt that they will be replacing hubs...

The last email I had w/ Pack Racing about this issue was that they'd be happy to machine the wheels, but that it would definitely have some sort of impact on pricing. I don't know the increase.

I always tell people to test fit wheels before buying, but if Pack Racing advertises these wheels as " Datsun roadster fitment", then that is false advertising.
Now if it's just a "recommended" size then I see why they still have to charge extra for the extra maching....either way what a pain!
