Indeed you did. Thanks so much for taking the tine to hunt this down. Engine bay pic not too bad. I’m familiar with all the SBF driver side exh manifolds and I’ve never seen one like that; I’m guessing it’s a custom header pipe.
Now I have two cars I’d like to connect with the owners on; this one and the blue one in the video link I sent earlier. Maybe someone in this forum has a clue or two on finding the owner.
In the meantime I’ll be moving ahead with chassis fab and will report in when I’ve completed this important stage. Thanks again. Jim.

Overall I love it. Thanks for sending the video link along. Get rid of the heavy pressure clutch and fix the steering and it would really be something. I always loved sleepers and that’s what I’m building. Even the paint is a nice sleeper green though not an original TR6 color.
Before I bought my first Datsun Roadster (‘69 2000 in ‘73) I test drove a 68 TR250 (precursor to the TR6). Loved the car but the clutch was going so I held off and test drove this Datsun 2000. I couldn’t believe how much better it performed than the TR250. Course the Datsun overall quality and engineering was way better. I owned several different British roadsters but I would never own another one (even with a SBF driveline).

I have been in contact with him. He lives states away from the car, didn't do the build and isn't really motivated to take pictures. The one in Arizona is one from way back. It never turned up after selling.

Thanks so much for trying. I’m moving along well with very selective chassis mods incl many opportunities to strengthen it. I need to do some media blasting soon and remove control arms for additional plating in 1/8 and 3/16. Lots and lots of steps but I’m not seeing a reason the car can’t be done with the three criteria originally mentioned. Documenting steps but not keeping track of hours spent.
