Mechanical will work perfectly fine and supply plenty of fuel at the correct pressure, so you can choose that as well. Like others, mine started leaking and I decided to go electric. Always used the cheapo "Mr Gasket" ones (same pumps, just labeling). The Facet one looks great, and if like Dave's they are a lot quieter.

Flow is more important than pressure... too much pressure and you can overcome the needle valve potentially causing the carbs to run with a higher fuel level in the float chamber which influences how your fuel jets work. 2-4lbs is plenty of pressure.
