I’m confused, is the engine and trans installed in the car or did you get the leak before even spinning the transmission?

They have been sitting on the car dry for over a decade in storage. It leaked as soon as it got filled.theunz wrote: Wed May 19, 2021 7:35 am I’m confused, is the engine and trans installed in the car or did you get the leak before even spinning the transmission?
On a new motor it can take a bit. I pre-lube my cold engine prior to firing it with 12 cranks/cycles and that's not enough to not hear a little rattle for a second before to reaches everywhere. Make sure you're turning the pump the right direction, same as the dizzy rotor... clockwise?cbez wrote: Mon May 31, 2021 9:40 pm Turned out the cover wasn't tightened when it was put back together.
Now gotta figure out why it wasn't getting oil to the top of the engine when spinning the pumpat least it's already pulled.
Exactly why pros never do 1st starts with more than 1 or 2 CYL firing ...but on irridium plugs your best to pull the injectors wirescbez wrote: Mon May 31, 2021 9:40 pm Turned out the cover wasn't tightened when it was put back together.
