Paul, our 69 has Volvo calipers on the solid roadster rotors with stainless flex brake lines just like the Wiki described. Calipers were disassembled, cross drilled and cleaned so I didn't need the twin port block.
The car stops very well, easily as well as the 68 did (which has new rotors and new stock calipers).
It uses a stock master and stock rear brakes with new components.
Pedal is very firm. I have it adjusted for very little travel before the brakes begin to engage. It's easy to modulate but requires a firm pedal pressure. I strongly suggest a cylinder brace.
