I have assembled an album of the conversion on my Shutterfly site: -

There are a lot of details not mentioned but this album will give you an appreciation of the conversion

Not sure if the above link works, I haven't had any feedback one way or another.
So, I'll experiment with another method and see what happens:-

Pics are showing up just fine.
Couple of questions:
1) Which of the 3 throw-out bearing collars in the picture did you use?
2) What clutch/pressure plate did you use?
3) Stock 1500 flywheel?
I am using the diesel bellhousing bolted to a 240SX transmission with an aluminum flywheel and 240Z clutch assembly. I wasn't happy with the stock 1600 collar with the 2000 clutch on the stock flywheel, so with this setup I tried the diesel collar (24mm in your picture?). Still doesn't feel right, but better, so I'll have to make some type of adjustment. Looks/feels like it needs more range of movement, so, possibly a taller pivot post.....maybe.
Thanks for putting up the details.

Hi Daryl, I'll find the packaging of the parts I used and get the P/N's for you.
Yes I used the stock 1500 flywheel. It had to be re-drilled to suit the new clutch cover mounting holes and dowels.
Which reminds me, there are captions to the pics. are you able to see them or not?
You might need to click on the "i" button to see them.

Right, don't you just love modern technology
Using this link
https://link.shutterfly.com/2KE2BV9hbDb should bring up the Album "FSW571B conversion to SP310 Fairlady".
Once the pictures come up, hover over the first image to bring up the 'magnifying glass' symbol.
Click on that "magnify" symbol.
Once the image comes up full size there is an "i" button at the bottom RH corner of the screen, grayed out maybe.
Click on that "i" button, it should turn orange and bring up all the info. for that image, including my written caption(s).
As folks request more detail, I'll post up new pics. with the required info. in the caption.
Now, what could be simpler said the actress to the bishop

Sorry Graeme,
No captions, anywhere....I'm guessing you have to sign up to Shutterfly for that feature.
I tried the Microsoft Edge browser as well.

Signing up would probably do it, but if you care to send me an email, I'll share the album with you that way.
Not at all impressed with all this.
It was so simple before they frigged around with everything!

Graeme,
I feel for your frustration with this.....
Your link only shows me 1 photo....transmission with the bellhousing in front of it.....

That's got it!
With that 225mm clutch it's unlikely you will ever wear it out and have to change it again!
Looks like that clutch and pressure plate was used in a lot of Nissan vehicles, including trucks, the Access van, and the 240SX, among others...
I was surprised that the 1500 used a 225mm clutch where the 1600 and 2000s used a 200mm clutch...
Great job and well documented.
Thanks!

No worries mate!
Always interesting to me how others have accomplished these conversions. I like how you solved the transmission mount problem. I would have to look at something like that If I ever did another diesel tranny conversion.
Something I didn't see in your photos is the speedometer output/sensor....is it positioned high on the back left side?

Ahhhh! the speedo drive! I'd be lying to you again if I said it works wonderfully well.
Yes, it is located on my passenger side VERY close to the trans. tunnel.
First up, I didn't fit the drive before I fitted the engine and transmission so it was then a mission impossible.
I had a right angle drive but I didn't have enough room to fit that either

So, another leap into the world of technology: I'm using a GPS display for the speedo.
There is a box available that has a mechanical output to drive an analogue gauge from a GPS signal but the cost is horrendous
Perhaps if I win the lottery but out of the question at the moment
